Job Description

This is a 12 month position, full-time in the High School. Starting ASAP.

  • Operates word processing equipment.
  • Transcribes electronic dictation.
  • Obtains, gathers and organizes pertinent data and information as needed and puts into usable form.
  • Maintains a regular filing system.
  • Places and receives telephone calls and records messages.
  • Orders and maintains supplies as needed.
  • Performs bookkeeping tasks associated with this position.
  • Maintains a schedule of appointments and makes arrangements for conferences for the immediate supervisor.
  • Types a variety of material such as letters, reports, memos, statements from rough draft to complete copy.
  • Completes mathematical computations and compiles statistical reports as required.
  • Maintains personnel records.
  • Checks reports and records for clerical accuracy.
  • If required, collects fees and accounts for monies received.
  • Issues and records applications for positions.
  • Maintains a complete filing system for the office.
  • Demonstrates organizational abilities and skills to maintain a smoothly run office.
  • Carries out any other assigned duties and/or responsibilities, which may be deemed appropriate by the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Education.
