This is a full-time, tenure position in the Middle School.

Responsibilities:

  1. Working with individual pupils or groups of pupils on special instructional projects as defined by classroom teachers.

  2. Providing the teacher with information about pupils, which will assist the teacher in the development of appropriate learning experiences.

  3. Assisting pupils in the use of available instructional resources, and assisting in the development of instructional materials.

  4. Participating in in-service training programs as assigned.

  5. Maintaining the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully certified teachers.

  6. Assisting in related instructional work and evaluation as required by teachers.

  7. Planning lesson and units in conjunction with the classroom teachers.

  8. Assist with educational support and classroom transitions of identified special education students.

  9. Offer behavioral support to identified students when disruptions occur.

  10. Assist monitoring the identified students in the cafeteria on a regular/as needed basis.

  11. Carrying out any other assigned duties deemed appropriate by the Administration and the Board of Education.

Starting @ $45,000
Anticipated MS/HS Library Media Specialist/Library Collection Oversight

This is a full-time, 10-month probationary position shared between the High & Middle Schools. 

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop 21st-century PreK–12 library services
  2. Select and maintain a diverse and current collection of library materials in accordance with Board of Education policy and instructional goals.
  3. Collaborate and work closely with classroom teachers, specialists, and administrators.
  4. Design and implement lessons and units of instruction
  5. Encourage library assistants to work independently and contribute to the success of the media center.
  6. Provide leadership in the integration of information literacy and digital citizenship across the curriculum.
  7. Manage the library media center, including budgeting, inventory, circulation systems, and maintenance of resources.
  8. Promote a culture of reading and lifelong learning through reading initiatives, author visits, book clubs, and other literacy-related programs.
  9. Provide professional development and instructional support to staff in the use of educational technology and digital resources.
  10. Evaluate and curate digital tools, databases, and online resources to support teaching and learning.
  11. Ensure equitable access to information and resources for all students, including those with diverse learning needs.
  12. Maintain awareness of current trends and best practices in school librarianship and educational technology.
  13. Foster community and family engagement through library programs and outreach efforts.
LTS AIS Intervention Teacher

This is a long-term sub position in the Elementary School starting from 1.12.26 through approx. 3.13.26. Starting at $225/day.

Job Goals:

To help students overcome problems that impede learning and to assist them in making educational, occupational, and life plans that hold promise for their personal fulfillment as mature and responsible men and women. This includes counseling and advising for:

  1. Academics
  2. Career and Post-Secondary Plan
  3. Transitional Events
  4. Personal conflicts, growth, and development
Starting @ $225/day.
LTS Teacher Assistant

This is a long-term sub position in the Middle School. Hours are 7:25am - 2:55pm, Monday - Friday. Start ASAP.

Responsibilities:

  1. Working with individual pupils or groups of pupils on special instructional projects as defined by classroom teachers.

  2. Providing the teacher with information about pupils, which will assist the teacher in the development of appropriate learning experiences.

  3. Assisting pupils in the use of available instructional resources, and assisting in the development of instructional materials.

Substitute Teachers/Teacher Assistants
  1. TA Sub - $130/day
    Noncertified Teacher Sub - $140/day
    Certified Teacher Sub - $160/day

    To enable each student to pursue his education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of his/her regular teacher.Reports to the building principal (school secretary) upon arrival at the school building.

  2. Reviews with the principal, department head, all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day.
  3. Maintains, as fully as possible, the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which he/she is assigned.
  4. Teaches the lesson outlined and described in the Substitute Teacher’s Plan as prepared by the absent teacher.
  5. Consults with the building principal before initiating any teaching or other procedures not specified in the Substitute Teacher’s Plan.
  6. Assumes responsibility for overseeing pupil behavior.
  7. Where applicable, signs the attendance register at the close of the teaching day.
  8. Follows all policies, rules, and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.
  9. Carries out any other assigned duties and/or responsibilities, which may be deemed appropriate by the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Education
$115-$125/day
