Senior Clerk Typist

This is a 12 month position, part-time in the District Office. Starting 8.1.26.

  • Enters new employees into nVision and Website staff list; updates as needed.
  • Confers with the Superintendent and Business Administrator for network and security clearance for new employees and initiates new employees into both.
  • Fingerprints and photographs new employees; maintains fingerprinting, badging and security databases; troubleshoots security issues and places service calls when needed.
  • Maintains employee application files.
  • Forwards paperwork for personnel transactions such as appointments, leaves of absence, resignations and retirements.
  • Ensures that required posting procedures are followed in filling positions.
  • Assists with recruitment of staff - posting vacancies and following procedures and guidelines in accordance with established policies; salary, criminal record checks, etc.
  • Keeps records for civil service probationary and permanent appointments.
  • Acts as a receptionist for the District Office.
  • Initiates and monitors the Onboarding Process through SchoolFront after Board approval.
  • Maintains a substitute database for classified and professional staff, checks references, processes criminal record checks and forwards database to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintains/updates job descriptions
  • Prepare accounts payable checks for mailing.
  • Records absences for all staff (sick days, personal days, family illness days, etc.).
  • Classified and Teacher staff salary notices and “reasonable assurance” letters.
  • Staff salary notices and“reasonable assurance” letters.
  • Attendance record keeping regarding sick leave, FMLA and Sick Leave Bank
  • Arranges for phone installations and service calls for the District phone system; updates mailboxes and extensions for each new school year and distributes phone directory.
  • Prepares District mailings.
  • Maintains Volunteer database and processes paperwork.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
Starting at $18.98/hr
