This is a temp position in our Maintenance Dept. lasting through 6.30.26 . Hours are 7am - 3:30pm. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Installs, maintains, repairs and rebuilds a wide variety of electrical fixtures, equipment and systems.
2. Installs, maintains, repairs and rebuilds a wide variety of plumbing equipment systems.
3. Performs a wide variety of steam fitting, forging, welding, sheet metal fabricating or machine shop activities.
4. Makes, assembles, installs, maintains, repairs and rebuilds doors, stairs, walls, floors, desks, chairs, cabinets, tables and other wood products, equipment and structures.
5. Performs and assists staff in corrective (repair) and preventive maintenance at all District facilities on items, such as mechanical systems and equipment; heating and cooling systems and equipment; temperature control systems; fire alarms and automatic sprinkler systems; electrical systems and equipment; plumbing and sewer systems and equipment; program clocks and signal systems, including building communication systems; lawnmowers, snow blowers and other grounds care equipment; general repair of building furnishings.
6. Performs and assists staff with site maintenance and repair work at all District facilities, such as snow removal, including operating truck-mounted snowplows and sanding equipment; and lawn irrigation system maintenance.
7. Performs and assists staff in providing miscellaneous maintenance services at all District facilities, such as replacing filters and vents, replacing light bulbs and fluorescent tubes where scaffold is needed; removing graffiti from surfaces; delivering and/or moving supplies, materials, furniture and equipment.
8. Responds to facility emergencies when needed.
9. Works on remodeling projects when needed.
10. Maintains assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment.
11. Prepares, paints and refinishes wood, metal and other surfaces.
12. Performs duties of custodian/cleaner in their absence.
13. Carries out any other assigned duties and/or responsibilities by the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Education.

The Maintenance Department is looking to hire for a 12 month, full-time or part-time night cleaner position. 

Start ASAP.

1. Responsible for the care and cleanliness of the classrooms, corridors and grounds.
2. Sweeps, mops and washes floors and stairs.
3. Dusts desks, woodwork, furniture and other equipment.
4. Washes windows, walls, blackboards, sinks, toilets and other fixtures.
5. Polishes furniture and metal furnishings.
6. Empties waste baskets, collects and disposes of rubbish.
7. Set up and tear down of after-school activities.
8. Carries out any other assigned duties and/or responsibilities by the Superintendent of Schools and the Board of Education.
